Hello, my name is Bole, and I am from Madison, Wisconsin. I completed my undergraduate work at Guangdong University of Foreign Studies in China. I then returned to the United States and earned my Master of Journalism from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I have learned my craft not only through my university studies, but also from the body of work created by American journalists and the experiences and stories of everyone I've interviewed and written about. I currently work as the editor of a Philadelphia area Chinese newspaper. In my free time I enjoy drawing, digital painting, playing clarinet, listening to classic rock, reading, comic arts, and watching movies.I am passionate about languages and communication and committed to helping my students learn to communicate effectively whether in English or Chinese. I believe that language lessons should not only help a student to learn a language, but also should broaden their horizons. I enjoy not just helping students learn grammar and vocabulary, but teaching them to communicate concepts effectively and confidently. I tutor students in all levels of Mandarin Chinese as well as GRE and graduate level test preparation.
