• Have lived in Germany and Austria nearly three and half years (Hamburg, Berlin, Dresden and Graz, Austria). • Have taught German at a language school in Chicago. • Have interned and written for a German newspaper (Die Sächsische Zeitung in Dresden [1991]) • Am married to a German and have a whole set of German in-laws with whom I have contact. (I have been speaking the language on and off for 20 years!) • Have worked as a journalist for newspapers in Chicago and Beaver Dam, Wis.
