What I most enjoy about tutoring is seeing my students confidence build in their subject and to watch their progression session to session that we work together. I have extensive experience in teaching and tutoring to learners of all ages, having worked in both public and private schools teaching a range of subjects and ages. I have lived abroad in Hong Kong, Australia and Costa Rica. In Costa Rica, I worked for a year teaching English to elementary school children. Here in the states, I have worked in the public schools in ESL and in all classrooms as a substitute teacher, as well as in a private ESL instructor and teacher trainer for academic-bound and professional adults in an Intensive English Program. Most often, I have taught kids and adults in English, ESL, and Spanish and work extensively to help them overcome hurdles in their learning, to tailor material to their specific struggles and needs and to make the learning engaging and fun.
