My background includes serving as a tutor at Madison West High School, Vanderbilt University, and privately for individuals. I tutored elementary through high school aged students in mathematics, English, biology, and French. My responsibilities included identifying specific difficulties students had within specific subjects, making a general plan for the entirety of my time tutoring them, and planning each lesson to achieve the goals of my plan. Additionally, I worked with both the students and their parents to see what they wanted to get out of the tutoring to adjust my focus to their needs. From these experiences, I gained considerable teaching skills and demonstrated my ability to support students and their families through all tutoring sessions. Personally, I scored a 34 on the ACT plus writing and a 2130 on the SAT. I have AP credit in multiple areas of math and am a National Merit scholar.
