Education
I have an MA in Hispanic Linguistics from the University of Iowa and a BA in Spanish and Latin American, Caribbean, and Iberian Studies from the University of Wisconsin Madison. I am currently in the process of completing a K-12 Spanish Language Education Certification at UW.
Experience
I have two and a half years of experience teaching Elementary and Intermediate Spanish at the University of Iowa. I held tutoring sessions for my students during office hours and have also been hired by former students to tutor them when they moved on from my class. I have also tutored students taking Spanish classes at UW and MATC. I look at my students as individuals with varied educational backgrounds and learning style preferences. I enjoy getting to know students and help to scaffold their learning in a way that suits them.
