I am a certified educator who is passionate about teaching. I can help students who are having difficulty with elementary math, middle school math, Spanish, reading, writing, English, and a variety of other subjects. I received my degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and I have my certificate to teach English. I have experience teaching English to students abroad, and I've tutored elementary school students and helped them with their homework. I would love to work with students on their Spanish language skills, as I am fluent in the language. I've been working with students of all ages and skill levels for several years. As a tutor I begin by going over the concepts that my students are struggling with. I then teach them the concepts in a new way, giving them a new perspective so that they can grasp the material. Once I feel that they understand what we are working on, I will ask them questions and test them to ensure that they know the material before we move on. I am truly passionate about teaching. When I'm not teaching or tutoring I enjoy reading riveting books, going on hikes, biking, swimming, and spending time in nature while camping.
