I'm a native of Wisconsin. I attended Gustavus Adolphus College and studied abroad for a year in Lima, Peru. I worked as a Spanish tutor and immigration law firm translator for two years. I learned to speak Spanish while I was a foreign exchange student in a small northern town in Chile. The host family I stayed with instructed me daily on how to speak the language natively. The way they instructed me has provided the foundation for my relief that learning and tutoring can be done anywhere, not just in a classroom setting.I like to get to know my students to help facilitate the learning process. I can tutor in a wide variety of subjects, including Spanish, Reading, Writing, Literature, Test Prep, English, Essay Editing, and Grammar and Mechanics.I am a relaxed and calm person by nature. In my spare time, I enjoy baking, reading, cooking, and playing the ukulele.
