I am a tutor with a strong background in science and math. I graduated from Dartmouth College with a bachelor's degree in theater. I was valedictorian of my high school and wanted to become a mathematician. However, while in college, I developed a passion for theater. I am currently in pursuit of a career producing and casting theater. While I absolutely love theater, I am still passionate about tutoring students in science and math. I am comfortable tutoring students in a variety of science and math related subjects, including physics, chemistry, algebra 1, geometry, statistics, trigonometry, and algebra 2. Additionally, I am also capable of tutoring students in American history, business, macroeconomics, social studies, and government and politics. I am also available to help students prepare for standardized tests, such as the PSAT, the ACT, and the SAT. My philosophy as a tutor emphasizes adapting my teaching style to fit with each student's learning style. I focus on finding ways to teach my students that will help them excel academically. I enjoy teaching science and math because these subjects can be quite challenging, and it is important for students to have confidence that they can succeed even when a subject is difficult. In my free time, I enjoy theater, crossword puzzles, watching movies, and shooting pool.
