I'm doing two master's degrees in th University of Wisconsin Madison, Master in Manufacturing and System Engineering and Master in Statsitcs. This is my third year here. My GPAs are 3.6/4.0 and 3.8/4.0 respectively. Now I'm an RA working in the STAT department of UW-Madison My undergraduate was in Zhejiang University, majoring in Process Equipment and Control Engineering. If you are not familiar with this name, simply call it "mechanical engineering", which gives you an understanding of what I learnt. My overall GPA was 3.66/4.0. Not that bad, hah?
Experience
I was once a TA for 1 semester in Zhejiang University in China (teaching math) and I have to say I'm so proud of being a student in Zhejiang University, 'cause it is one of the best universities in China. I haven't taken SAT, AP, but I passed GRE and TOFEL tests. I want to become a tutor, well, simply because I want to earn some money and also practice my oral English. I can be a good tutor in Mandarin, 'cause I was born and grew up in Beijing, where people only speak pure Mandarin with no accents at all. I'm good at all subjects. I choose to teach Mathematics, 'cause it does not require too much talking, since my English is not as fluent as a native. Courses I've taken: Calculus I and II, linear algebra, differential equation, probability theory, stochastic process, mathematical analysis, mathematical statistics, statistical regression.
