Experience
I've been a teaching assistant (TA) for classes ranging from freshman seminars on biotechnology to the advanced genetics class for Stanford medical school. In these roles, I've created problem sets, led discussion sections, designed and run student labs, and helped students during office hours. I genuinely enjoy teaching and am willing to personalize my tutoring to the student's interests and needs. While I've listed the areas I feel most competent in tutoring, please feel free to ask about any additional areas (especially in science). I don't charge for the first hour to give you the opportunity to decide if I'm a good fit. Courses TA'd: - Biotechnology of Everyday Life - Stanford University, Biology Dept. - Light, Pigment, and Organisms - Stanford University, Chemistry Dept. - Advanced Genetics - Stanford University, Genetics Dept. - Plant Genetics - Stanford University, Biology

Hobbies
In my free time, I enjoy yoga and hiking. As my PhD thesis was on developing genetic tools to help understand coral biology, I'm a big fan of snorkeling and diving (although my move to Madison has taken me a bit far from the tropics). I love gardening, especially when it provides me with fresh fruits and veggies.
