Majored in Education until completing a degree in Systems Analysis and Design/Computer Programming. Worked in U.S. corporations for over twenty years as an Analyst/Programmer until finally returning to language education. While analyzing and designing business systems, I developed the skill of providing clear, concise, and well-organized instruction both verbally and in writing. ICAL TESL/TEFL Teaching Certificate (2009) Intensive ESL Pedagogical training at The American Home, an ESL Institute in Vladimir, Russia Continued training at the Wisconsin English as a Second Language Institute (WESLI) in Madison, Wisconsin Received extensive teaching experience in ESL classrooms as well as in assisting private students reach their English language goals one-on-one. After completing my ESL training and certification, I began my teaching career in Vladimir, Russia where I worked from August 2009 to July 2010. After returning to the U.S., I taught numerous classes at an ESL Institute that pertained to academic writing, reading, grammar acquisition, accurate pronunciation, and effective communication. I worked at this school for approximately two years before beginning my own ESL business. I greatly enjoy teaching and have had a wealth of experience in both the classroom and in personal tutoring.

My teaching approach is highly individualized because each of my students is unique. As such, I don't believe in the "one size fits all" approach to teaching English. During our first meeting, we'll make an assessment of where you are and where you want to be. We'll then design a personalized plan to get you there! As a professional English language teacher, I have taught at English language schools in Russia and the United States and have tutored a large number of private students of all ages/levels from the following countries: Armenia, China, Columbia, Egypt, Germany, India, Indonesia, Iran, Israel, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Korea, Mexico, Mongolia, Peru, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, Tibet, Turkey, Venezuela, and Vietnam.
