Experience

Tutoring has been my passion for the last 8 years. For me, it's all about helping students achieve their full potential. I like to get to know my students' individual learning styles and tailor lessons to their unique needs, which works wonders--my students insisted I tutor them via videochat from across the country even after I moved away :) I tutor all subject areas, focusing mainly on math, science, and standardized testing. I teach all levels from basic math to multivariable calculus, all types of science (physics, biology, chemistry), and all types of standardized testing--from private school entry to college entry exams. I scored the equivalent of a 1510 on the SAT (scoring system changed--it was 2200 on the 2400 scale), and a 34 on the ACT, which got me into Rice University, otherwise known as the Ivy League of the South :)

Hobbies

The first thing you'll notice about me is that I'm bubbly and outgoing :) During a lesson, I am extremely supportive. I will cheer on your son or daughter when they are on the right track or gently nudge them in the right direction when they're a bit off base. I currently live in Madison, WI and work for a hospital software company. I love traveling to new places and spending time outside. I'm also learning web design in my spare time.
