Experience
Although I have yet to tutor for monetary compensation, I have a breadth of experience teaching concepts across a range of backgrounds and expertise. I was an experimental psychology teaching assistant at the University of Wisconsin - Madison. For the past four years I've been a research assistant and research specialist within UW's psychology department, focusing on childhood and adolescence. I've run statistical analyses and studies regarding PTSD, ADHD, Sensory Processing Disorders, OCD, Anxiety, Depression, and Autism Spectrum Disorder. I want to tutor in order to spark students' enthusiasm for learning. I'm sensitive to the ways in which psychological stress can impact academic performance and concentration, and I have the tools to help navigate these obstacles. My high school AP scores are: 5 Psychology, 5 Macroeconomics, 5 United States History, 4 English Language, 3 English Literature, and 3 Statistics. I am currently in the process of attaining a yoga teaching certification and will be starting MSW classes Fall 2018.
