I am a senior at the University of Wisconsin- Madison. I plan to graduate in May 2019 with a B.S. in Biochemistry.

Experience

I have tutored students from the ages of 9 to 17. I am able to tutor a variety of subjects. I have previous tutored students in AP Biology, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Trigonometry, General chemistry, and more. I like to tailor my tutoring sessions to each student, but as a general approach I like to make sure that students get as much hands-on learning time as possible. For example, I will periodically quiz students to see if they are retaining material, and rather than giving students the answer directly I will try to help them figure things out step-by-step. I find that this is a style of teaching that really empowers the student to be able to solve problems on their own once it is time to do them on an exam.
