Noah P.
Private tutor in Madison, WI
Education
After two years at Madison College, I transferred to the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where I graduated with honors with a BA in Classical Languages (my emphasis was in Ancient Greek, though I took as much Latin as I did Greek). My overall GPA in college was a 3.9 and in my last year I wrote a Senior's Thesis which allowed me to graduate with honors. After Madison, I attended New York University as a graduate student.
Experience
I was first hired as a tutor by the Center for Educational Opportunity, a federally funded program which assists first-generation college students. During my time at the CEO, I was given the opportunity to tutor first and second year Latin, Italian, and German. This job allowed me to develop critical tutoring skills, such as crafting exercises and practice exams/quizzes, as well as identifying a student's learning style(s) so that I may better assist a student's particular needs.
