Tutored middle school reading/math professionally for a summer. Scored an 800 in SAT reading, 710 writing, 720 Math. Classes in learning/behavior, adolescent/child development, and a class on sociology of teaching. Tutored classmates in high school and college. I've always loved helping people understand things - whether it's a math problem or a philosophical thought process or different ways to interpret reading passages. When I was younger, I helped my little brothers learn how to read and engage with texts. The practice of teaching others is absolutely fascinating to me.

I love reading, and will sometimes edit things for fun. I enjoy baking and - to a lesser extent - other types of cooking. I like dance and theater. I write or draw in some of my spare time, and am currently learning to play the clarinet. Most of my non-fiction reading recently has been on psychological topics, as I'm considering applying for grad school next year in the field.
